To Garden: building sustainable community, drawing us continually to a common place for a common purpose while all receiving something in return including food to eat, friends to fellowship, and someone or something to care for:)
Ooh, good reasons, you two! And I'd add that it's just marvelously fun to play in the dirt and fascinating to watch things grow. AND... growing your own veggies means you don't have to worry what the hell you're actually eating.
Eloquently spoken Leif....I would add that gardening allows us an opportunity to nurture the god in us by joining in the creative process. So maybe some of us cant have children right now...but we can grow food. Yeah!!!
It reduces our impact on the environment because our vegetables don't need to be transported like store-bought goods.
